Day 177: Psalms 51:11-15
Psalm 51:11 Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. 12Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit. 13Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners shall be converted to You. 14Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, The God of my salvation, And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness. 15O Lord, open my lips, And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.
Lord, You are my only hope and my only reason for living. When Your Son spoke to His disciples and asked them, “Will you leave me also?” They answered Him rightly, “Lord, where would we go? You alone have the words that lead to eternal life” (John 6:67-68). O God, there is salvation in no one else. There are not many ways to heaven. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through You (John 14:6).
You have promised in the New Testament that Jesus would never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Jesus told us that no one could pluck us out of His hand (John 10:28-29). You will not take the Holy Spirit from those who are truly Your eternal children.
Restore to us the joy of our salvation. Help us rejoice over sins forgiven, over grace received, over the gift of faith and eternal life, abundant life. May the fragrance of the beauty of Christ, the joy of Christ’s salvation fill us to overflowing and use us to lead many to righteousness. Let Your Holy Spirit fill us and help us to flow with the fountains of living water that not only feed our own needs but the needs of those around us. May the fruit of the Holy Spirit be multiplied in and through us, blessing all around us. Help us to teach transgressors Your ways. Please use us to convert sinners to Yourself.
Open my mouth and teach me how to praise and worship and magnify Your name. May my worship grow richer and truer, and fuller every day. May the river of the redeemed overflow its banks in praise and honor of Your holy name, Lord Jesus.
Good words! Thanks Jim!
