God Will Uphold His Children through every Attack

Day 124:  Psalms 41:10-13

Psalm 41:10 But You, O LORD, be merciful to me, and raise me up, That I may repay them. 11By this I know that You are well pleased with me, Because my enemy does not triumph over me. 12As for me, You uphold me in my integrity, And set me before Your face forever. 13Blessed be the LORD God of Israel From everlasting to everlasting! Amen and Amen.

But God of mercy and grace, raise me up, even as You raised Jesus from the dead. Unlike Jesus, I have stumbled, but You did not let me ultimately fall. Help me deal with the wickedness of these evil ones who plotted against Your servant and truly against You. They refused to hear and obey Your servant. They refused to humble themselves before You and confess their sin. They have shown no evidence of repentance, no remorse for their evil. They have remained stubborn in their pride and self-righteousness.

But in spite of their sin and their evil attacks, You did not let them prevail against me. You did not let them destroy me. You were pleased to help me. You showed kindness and mercy to Your servant. You have honored me more in these latter days than at the first. My enemy has not prevailed against me to destroy me. You have justified me and used me in even more wonderful ways than at the first. You have upheld me and blessed me. You have drawn me even nearer to Yourself. You have helped me learn more of You. You have deepened my prayer life, touched my family with Your kindness, and multiplied Your blessings to me.

You have become even more precious to me. Lord, You are more precious than silver or gold. Lord, Your beauty far outstrips the most beautiful diamonds. There is nothing that comes close to You. You are the God of the universe, yet You have stooped to me and let me call You my God. You are the God who never sins, yet Your Son took all our sin on Himself and became sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

O God, I bless and magnify Your Name. There is none like You. You are the great, the Almighty, the Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, blessed forever and ever. Amen.

Jesus Christ brought me to Himself at a very early age. I began seeking the Lord and writing prayer journals in my early teens and have continued to grow in my knowledge and experience of prayer. I am still learning and growing in my prayer life and long to help others grow in their prayer lives as well. I am not an expert, but a practitioner who needs God to continue to teach me to pray. Prayer is both simple, yet also profound. It is deep and draws us into the depth of God, but it is also so easy and wondrous that we can cry out to God with "Abba, Father" prayers because of the work of Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit. Prayer comes from God's heart, works in our hearts, and teaches us to go back to seek God's heart!
