Jesus Has declared and will continue to declare the glory and righteousness of God.

Day 119 Psalm 40: 9 – 10

Psalm 40:9 I have proclaimed the good news of righteousness In the great assembly; Indeed, I do not restrain my lips, O LORD, You Yourself know. 10I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not concealed Your loving kindness and Your truth From the great assembly.

Jesus, You have shown us the Father. You have declared to us His glory. You proclaimed it in the temple, in the midst of the people, before the watching angels, and more! To know You is to know the Father. You are our righteousness. You proclaimed the glory of the Lord. You are the glory of the Lord. You are one with the Father. You are the good news, the gospel of righteousness.

Lord Jesus, You went about everywhere proclaiming the good news of God’s deliverance from sin. You showed us and are still showing us today the hope that this good news brings. You are declaring this good news through Your preachers and teachers and servants around the world. One day every knee will bow, and tongue confess that You, Lord Jesus, are the righteousness of God.

Even today, Your good news is preached around the world, throughout the nations. There is no hemisphere, no continent where your gospel is not preached. People from many tongues and tribes and nations have already come to You. They have believed and received Your righteousness and live by the power of this good news.

O Lord, let us, Your people, continue to proclaim Your glory throughout the earth. Open wide the gates and may many, many, many more hear the words of the good news of Your righteous salvation, repent, and believe in Your redemption of their sin.

In Jesus’ most holy Name, Amen!

Jesus Christ brought me to Himself at a very early age. I began seeking the Lord and writing prayer journals in my early teens and have continued to grow in my knowledge and experience of prayer. I am still learning and growing in my prayer life and long to help others grow in their prayer lives as well. I am not an expert, but a practitioner who needs God to continue to teach me to pray. Prayer is both simple, yet also profound. It is deep and draws us into the depth of God, but it is also so easy and wondrous that we can cry out to God with "Abba, Father" prayers because of the work of Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit. Prayer comes from God's heart, works in our hearts, and teaches us to go back to seek God's heart!
