Day 115: Psalms 40: 3
Psalm 40:3 He has put a new song in my mouth — Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the LORD.
As David prayed in the last Psalm that he would not be brought down or humiliated due to his own sin and due to the Lord’s glory, so here on the opposite side he prays, praises, rejoices, and asks that his redemption, his deliverance will cause others to see and glorify the Lord.
In the sweet times of refreshing, You cause us to rejoice. You cause us to know that our sin is forgiven, and the consequences of the fall are removed from us for a season until Christ returns when there will be no more sin of any kind remaining. O come quickly, Lord Jesus.
But for now, You have given us seasons of refreshing, seasons of rejoicing. You have prepared a banquet for us in the presence of our enemies. We rejoice in You, our God and Creator, Our Maker, Our Father, Redeemer and Friend. You have turned our mourning into dancing.
May others see Your work of grace in and through us and join us in knowing You , loving You, praising You, and serving You forever. In Jesus ’Name alone, Amen!
Amen! ❤️
