Praise for the Glorious Revelation and Redemption of our Triune God.

Day 97:  Psalms 36:7-8

Psalm 36:7 How precious is Your loving kindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. 8They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.

In creation, providence, and redemption, through Your revelation and illumination You have shown Your children Your beauty and holiness, Your love, and Your kindness. In the perfections of the Trinity, You have enabled us to taste and see that the Lord is good! You have taken us out of darkness and brought us to Your light. You have raised us from death to life. All praise and glory be to Your name. We are like those who were captive, tortured, and tormented by evil from within and without, but now we have been set free. We are laughing and singing and dancing before You with gratitude and joy.

Because we have tasted Your redemption, we put our trust in You. The shadow of Your wings delights us. Though some have refused the shelter of Your wings (Matthew 23:37), we will trust in You and come to You and delight in the shadow of Your wing.

You have set a banquet before us in the presence of our enemies. You have provided all we need and more. We delight in You and in all the provisions You have made for us. Ultimately, You are the greatest treasure of all. Your house is fully furnished for all Your children. We are fully satisfied in You. You let us taste the fullness of Your joy.

All praise be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen!

Jesus Christ brought me to Himself at a very early age. I began seeking the Lord and writing prayer journals in my early teens and have continued to grow in my knowledge and experience of prayer. I am still learning and growing in my prayer life and long to help others grow in their prayer lives as well. I am not an expert, but a practitioner who needs God to continue to teach me to pray. Prayer is both simple, yet also profound. It is deep and draws us into the depth of God, but it is also so easy and wondrous that we can cry out to God with "Abba, Father" prayers because of the work of Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit. Prayer comes from God's heart, works in our hearts, and teaches us to go back to seek God's heart!
