Help Us Walk In Faith In Spite of our Enemies

Day 59:  Psalms 27:11-14

Psalm 27:11 – 14 11Teach me Your way, O LORD, And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies. 12Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries; For false witnesses have risen against me, And such as breathe out violence. 13I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living. 14Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!

Again, I see King David and his accusers, the Lord Jesus and those who opposed Him, and those who resist You and the grace that You are working in and through me. David sought to do Your will even when opposed by enemies, but you preserved Him time after time. Many sought to confound, oppose, and attack Your eternal Son, our Savior, yet He overcame each and every one of them. You continue to help me in my walk with You and have promised to bring me safely home to be with You forever!

Lord, continue to make me wise unto the fullness of my salvation, the stage of glorification. Lead me in a smooth path, let the enemies of God’s people see the glory of God in guiding and protecting His people even to the point of turning these enemies into friends of the Lord Jesus Christ. Indeed, while we were yet enemies, Christ died for the ungodly.

Do not deliver me over to their wicked plans and conspiracies, O Lord. There are those who told lies about Christ and who tell lies about me. So, it has been with all your servants down through the ages. It is not that we are not sinners. We have certainly sinned. But they in their hypocrisy and evil have raised themselves against the Lord and against His servants. See, O Lord, and cause them to confess and turn from their evil or remove them and their influence.

I would have given up if I had not trusted You. But You strengthened me. You helped me. You made me whole. Lord, You strengthen me every moment of every day.

Help us trust You and wait patiently for You. Grant us wisdom and courage to meet the challenges of the day, the hour and the moment. Lord, by Your grace, we will wait on You.

Jesus Christ brought me to Himself at a very early age. I began seeking the Lord and writing prayer journals in my early teens and have continued to grow in my knowledge and experience of prayer. I am still learning and growing in my prayer life and long to help others grow in their prayer lives as well. I am not an expert, but a practitioner who needs God to continue to teach me to pray. Prayer is both simple, yet also profound. It is deep and draws us into the depth of God, but it is also so easy and wondrous that we can cry out to God with "Abba, Father" prayers because of the work of Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit. Prayer comes from God's heart, works in our hearts, and teaches us to go back to seek God's heart!
