Day 43: Psalms 22:25-31
Psalm 22:25 My praise shall be of You in the great assembly; I will pay My vows before those who fear Him. 26The poor shall eat and be satisfied; Those who seek Him will praise the LORD. Let your heart live forever!
Jesus Christ, You are the perfect, eternal, sinless Son of God who shows us the Father. You have always been one with God the Father, but when You became a perfect man, You accomplished in space and time the salvation planned from all eternity. You are worthy of praise simply because of who You are as the eternal Son of God. You are worthy of all praise as the Creator and Sustainer of all that exists. But now, due to Your perfect life, sacrificial death and victory over sin, death, the grave, and all that is evil, You enable Your born again children to offer You the praise that belongs to You for all You are and for all You have done! You are perfect praise to the Trinity and You raise us, Your children, to delight in You and You lead us in wondrous worship!
Like King David, I will give testimony of You before all. I will tell of Your mighty acts. I will keep my word and my commitment to You. I will help others who are poor and needy in mind, heart, body, and soul. Others who seek You, Lord, to follow You will hear and understand. They will rejoice with me in the greatness of Your power and glory.
Let Your heart live forever! God of heaven and earth, Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, it is Your heart that will live forever. And in Your living forever and Jesus coming to live and die, and rise again, You have empowered Your children to live gloriously forever, also! Your heart, Your love, Your desire for and commitment to Your glory and the good of Your people will never fail. All praise be to Your name.
Psalm 22:27 All the ends of the world Shall remember and turn to the LORD, And all the families of the nations Shall worship before You. 28 For the kingdom is the LORD’s, And He rules over the nations. 29All the prosperous of the earth Shall eat and worship; All those who go down to the dust Shall bow before Him, Even he who cannot keep himself alive. 30A posterity shall serve Him. It will be recounted of the Lord to the next generation, 31They will come and declare His righteousness to a people who will be born, That He has done this.
Father, not just Your children, but the whole universe, all the sentient beings will turn to see Your majesty, glory, power, and honor. We will all get it one day and our lips, our lives, will be full of nothing but praise. Every knee will bow, every tongue will confess. There is not a single particle or power in the universe that will not acknowledge Your rule, Your glory and perfections.
We pray for Your kingdom to come and rightly so. We long for the full and final manifestation of the completed kingdom, as homeowners long to see their homes completed. There will come a day when it is all complete, but even now the kingdom belongs to You, O God. It is being built to Your specifications. It will be done on Your schedule. The kingdom is Yours already. You rule over the nations, even over the wicked tyrants. You allow their evil to go so far and no farther. One day Your justice will be fully done upon them.
The rich and mighty of this earth shall eat from Your hand and worship. The dying and abandoned shall rise, and worship. They will rise from the dead, come off the respirators, the machines keeping them alive, and they shall bow in humble worship before the Lord.
From generation to generation all shall come together and declare God’s righteous deeds. Glory be to Your name, O God!
Amen!
