Day 191 Psalm 55:16 – 18
[ESV] 16 But I call to God, and the Lord will save me.17 Evening and morning and at noon I utter my complaint and moan, and he hears my voice.18 He redeems my soul in safety from the battle that I wage, for many are arrayed against me.
Warrior God, even when the enemy troubles me, and I am afraid, I will turn to You. You are my fortress and my strength. You are the glorious conqueror who will deal with my enemies. You will cause them to fall. You will save me, not because of my goodness, but for Your own glory. You will save me and You have saved me again and again for which I give You thanks and praise.
I will keep on seeking, keep on knocking and keep on asking until the time of my deliverance has come. You will hear my voice. You will deliver me from my enemies and those who would destroy me and the work of my heart and hands. You have rescued me from many battles that were arrayed against me. I give thanks to You and praise Your name. My enemy has not overcome me. You have prepared a feast table before me in the presence of my enemies. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Though there were many plots and peoples against me, still You have delivered me and given me hope. As Your Son, my Lord and Savior, was surrounded by enemies from all sides, from Rome and Israel and even from within His own disciples, yet He remained faithful to His calling, and the Father delivered Him from every trouble, so in Jesus, we will be delivered from every trouble as well.
We pray this in Christ’s name, Amen!
