God’s deliverance and glory is our salvation

Day 174:  Psalms 50:22-23

Psalm 50:22 “Now consider this, you who forget God, Lest I tear you in pieces, And there be none to deliver: 23Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; And to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God.”

O God, do not destroy us, for that would not give You the praise and the glory that saving a cold, slow, and ignorant people would give You. Is the gospel not powerful? Is the strength and the beauty and the honor and holiness of Christ even greater and clearer than the Old Testament manifestation of Your Name? Then hear us, O Lord, deliver us from our cold and foolish hearts and show Yourself mighty.

O Lord, we pray that You would grant repentance and bring a revival in your people

and bring an awakening amid the lost even as You have done again and again in history. Lord, help us not come to judgment but come to find Your mighty working in our hearts and lives so that we can praise and glorify Your Name.

We praise You as the living and true God. We honor You as who You are, King of all kings, Lord of all Lords. You alone are the Savior of sinners, the only true hope for all mankind.  We would glorify You with our lips and our lives.   Lord, help us not forget you in the business of our lives. Let our hearts magnify and glorify Your name. Lord, You are God and there is no other God. You are our God and our Rock, our Fortress, and our High Tower. You are our strength and our deliverer, our Song and our Shield, Our Victory, Our First and Truest Love, Our only lasting Delight.

We come to You to praise You, to follow You, by the grace You give us in and through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Amen!

Jesus Christ brought me to Himself at a very early age. I began seeking the Lord and writing prayer journals in my early teens and have continued to grow in my knowledge and experience of prayer. I am still learning and growing in my prayer life and long to help others grow in their prayer lives as well. I am not an expert, but a practitioner who needs God to continue to teach me to pray. Prayer is both simple, yet also profound. It is deep and draws us into the depth of God, but it is also so easy and wondrous that we can cry out to God with "Abba, Father" prayers because of the work of Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit. Prayer comes from God's heart, works in our hearts, and teaches us to go back to seek God's heart!
