God perfectly rules over all the nations

Day 159 Psalm 47:8 – 9

            Psalm 47:8 God reigns over the nations; God sits on His holy throne. 9The princes of the people have gathered together, The people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth belong to God; He is greatly exalted.

            Lord, You reign over all. There is not a single speck of the universe out of Your control, direction, and most holy and magnificent plan. You are the Lord over all the nations as well. As you sit on Your heavenly throne the sea of glass is perfectly still and calm. Revelation 4:6 tells us, “Before the throne, there was a sea of glass, like crystal.” Lord God, from Your throne You have planned and directed and perfectly executed Your holy will. Even evil and all its compatriots are controlled and only allowed to go so far. There is no Yin and Yang, no balancing of good and evil. There is the one true and living and sovereign God.

            Your children, the people of Abraham who have the faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God and Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will gather to praise You, to serve You, to follow You wherever You lead us. All the forces of the earth, their protection, their reputations, their honor, indeed, their shields are Yours. None can save alive who You have appointed unto death and none can kill those who You have appointed to live.

            You are to be greatly exalted over all creation because You alone are the sovereign Lord of all.  You have revealed this to us in and through Your Son, our Savior, and King, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen and Amen!

Jesus Christ brought me to Himself at a very early age. I began seeking the Lord and writing prayer journals in my early teens and have continued to grow in my knowledge and experience of prayer. Prayer comes from God's heart, works in our hearts, and teaches us to go back to seek God's heart!
