Day 143: Psalms 45:1-2
NKJ Psalm 45:1 To the Chief Musician. Set to “The Lillies.” A Contemplation of the sons of Korah. A Song of Love. My heart is overflowing with a good theme; I recite my composition concerning the King; My tongue is the pen of a ready writer. 2You are fairer than the sons of men; Grace is poured upon Your lips; Therefore God has blessed You forever.
O most precious and only God, You are my God, the God of all Your people. Your love and power and majesty are glorious and terrible. We tremble in the presence of Your might and majesty, but we also are overwhelmed by Your goodness, love, and truth.
Lord, You have loved us with an everlasting love. The beauty of Your love, power, and majesty in our presence causes us to tremble and rejoice and to delight in You. Each of us is precious in Your sight and You are most holy, most beautiful to us all.
It is easy and glorious to speak of Your wonder and glory, Lord Jesus. It is a blessing, a joy, a wonder to see and know You as the perfect God-man, the second person of the Trinity, the revelation of God. You, Lord Jesus, are King of all kings, Lord of all lords. You are beautiful and terrible and wonderful to behold. There is none as handsome, as majestic, or as perfect as You. When You speak, Your words are only wisdom, purest truth, love, and justice united. Your words give life to all who truly hear. Your words empower Your people and give us life forevermore.
Most blessed Savior we are blessed through Your blessing to all Your children as we continue to trust and follow You.
