Lead us by Your Light and Truth Into Perfect Praise

Day 134: Psalms 43:3-4

Psalm 43:3 Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill And to Your tabernacle. 4Then I will go to the altar of God, To God my exceeding joy; And on the harp, I will praise You, O God, my God.

O Lord Jesus, as You helped Peter capture the great catch of fish in Luke 5:4-8 and again later in John 21:6-11 so we ask that You send Your Word and Your Holy Spirit and recapture our hearts. Help us see, comprehend, love, and live by Your truth. Through Your Holy Spirit and Your Word, draw us back to worship You with Your people. Bring Your people together to worship before You and all Your heavenly host.

In that place, there will be joy evermore. We will worship and delight in You.  We will find experientially what we began to understand in a limited way. You are our exceedingly great reward. You are our hiding place. You are our song in the night. You are the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. You are the ultimate joy of our lives. As You stir our hearts we will praise You skillfully with all the talent and ability You have given us. All praise and glory be unto Your name.

You are God, my God. You have created me, sustained me, kept me, and guided me. You have purchased me with the blood of Your own Son. You have adopted me, indeed all Your children into Your holy family so that we are a multitude without numbers. You are our God and we are Your people!

We praise You in and through the work of Your only Son, our Savior, and King, Amen!

Jesus Christ brought me to Himself at a very early age. I began seeking the Lord and writing prayer journals in my early teens and have continued to grow in my knowledge and experience of prayer. I am still learning and growing in my prayer life and long to help others grow in their prayer lives as well. I am not an expert, but a practitioner who needs God to continue to teach me to pray. Prayer is both simple, yet also profound. It is deep and draws us into the depth of God, but it is also so easy and wondrous that we can cry out to God with "Abba, Father" prayers because of the work of Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit. Prayer comes from God's heart, works in our hearts, and teaches us to go back to seek God's heart!
