Day 126 Psalm 42:3-4
Psalm 42:3 My tears have been my food day and night, While they continually say to me, “Where is your God?” 4When I remember these things, I pour out my soul within me. For I used to go with the multitude; I went with them to the house of God, With the voice of joy and praise, With a multitude that kept a pilgrim feast.
Lord, I weep for You. I long for You. I cry for You day and night (Psalm 6:1-7). Others have mocked me and said that You have left me or that You are not there at all. For Your sake defend Your name. For my sake, come and be with me to help me, and do not leave me alone.
Lord, when they say, “Where is Your God?” I remember the times that we rejoiced with the multitudes of Your people bringing You worship and praise. I remember the wonderful time when we came together and sensed God’s glorious Presence in our midst.
We went together to God’s house. We sang and worshipped and rejoiced with great joy at the wonders of our God. We kept the feasts and the celebrations of Your name. We met together around Thanksgiving and Christmas, around Easter, and more. Indeed, it seemed that every Lord’s Day was a new celebration of Your praise. The preaching and teaching of Your Word, the wonder of precious prayers, the glory of the music, the hymns, the anthems, the instruments, and more are precious memories and times that we came together before You.
O Lord, I long for the day when we can worship You again and know the true and deep fellowship with You and Your children!
