Day 52: Psalms 25:20-22
Psalm 25:20 Keep my soul, and deliver me; Let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in You. 21Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, For I wait for You. 22Redeem Israel, O God, Out of all their troubles! Lord, You have kept my soul and the souls of all who put their trust in You.
You have delivered us again and again. Your strength has always been perfect, even when our energy, our strength was gone. Your integrity and faithfulness have preserved me through the righteousness of Christ. You have helped me wait for You. And when I did not feel that I could hold on anymore, when I fell, You had Your safety net underneath me to preserve me alive. Like Peter, Satan sought to sift us like sand, but after we had fallen, the Lord restored us, all praise to His name.
His integrity and righteousness purchased a place in heaven for me. His integrity and righteousness has not only declared me righteous, but has called me to live and empowered me to live more and more in true righteousness and holiness so that I can even speak of my righteousness, even though any righteousness in me comes from my Lord and Savior.
I wait for You, O Christ Jesus, my Savior and King. You are my refuge, my hiding place, my strength, my shield, my all and in all. O God, redeem all Your people from all their troubles. How we long for the day when all things will be made right, and evil will have no more sway. Even so come quickly, Lord Jesus. Amen and Amen.
Amen!
